A great way to spend the day!
“I really enjoyed taking the historic Garden District tour. The homes were so beautiful and enjoyed even more, because our guide offered so many interesting stories about the homes history. She also offered a lot of information about the native plants, the homes’ architecture, and design. There was a bit of witty trivia and fun facts that made the tour engaging and not too serious. The walking was at a comfortable pace, but I would recommend comfy shoes, as the sidewalks were pretty rough and uneven in many places. We also stopped at Lafayette Cemetery for a great bit of history about the tombs, family burials, and jazz funerals. Our tour guide was an excellent local with a great gift for weaving history and facts into a fun, relaxing morning stroll. Afterwards, we shopped a little on nearby Magazine Street and grabbed lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area.”
